At DRIFT we're looking for an intern to join our Future Projects team.

About the job

As the Future Projects Intern, you will be an integral part of the DRIFT sales team. You will provide support by actively seeking new possibilities and opportunities for DRIFT within the art industry. The Future Projects team is responsible for creating new business for the studio and working on selling art. Main tasks will include assisting with gallery management, keeping relations up to date and managing new commissions. Focus points include project management, handling inquiries with care, assisting with building relationships with new and existing clients by doing research, and working with several departments internally.

The ideal candidate should be familiar with the creative world and the international art scene. Here, we value both collaborative teamwork and independent thinking, empowering you to work proactively, come up with ideas and make impactful contributions.

Guided by our Future Projects Manager, you'll embark on an exciting journey of growth and discovery. Your tasks will encompass a wide range of activities, each presenting an opportunity to showcase your skills and shape the trajectory of our projects. Here are some examples:

  • assisting with the administration of incoming inquiries and exhibitions

  • assisting with R&D of target groups

  • preparing presentations

  • keeping track of the CRM (customer relationship management) system

  • assisting with the organisation of trips/events.

  • building relationships within the art and tech world

  • working with different software for sales aspects

  • projects management, extracting information from meetings and contracts and briefing the team to follow up on it.

  • showing clients around the studio and artwork

Required skills and characteristics

  • can work well under pressure

  • accurate workflow

  • sales minded

  • genuine interest in art and DRIFT

  • knowledge of numbers, Adobe, Excel

  • knowledge of the art industry

  • impeccable social and communication skills, being able to communicate with high-level and demanding clients and contacts

  • Excellent in English 

  • Eligibility to work in the Netherlands with a valid visa or permit (hard requirement)

  • Foundational Business Knowledge: Possess a basic understanding of business principles, similar to those acquired through studies in fields like Business Administration (BBA).
