Junior Financial Accountant
A Day in the Life of a Jr. Financial Accountant
As Junior Financial Accountant at DRIFT, you will be responsible for processing transactions related to core business of Studio DRIFT (mainly accounts payable) and contribute to optimising and streamline the existing processes in Finance and related to it domains. Your role will involve meticulous bookkeeping, attentiveness to the details and ability to work in a high paced environment and organisation.
You will be:
Managing Invoices and Payments: Process supplier invoices and payroll related transactions in Exact, preparing payment registers and files, ensuring the weekly payment cycles are completed on time with transactions correctly and accurately recorded in Exact.
Streamlining Monthly Closures: Participate in month-end closing using Exact by ensuring all records are reflected on time, in correct periods with making necessary accruals if needed.
Bank Balances Overview & Reconciliation: Make sure that all bank transactions are properly allocated, reconciled to the bank statements and updated in monthly overview.
Accounting Policies and Procedures: Contribute to setting up internal processes and procedures related to accounting policies, invoice approvals, expense refunds, credit card expenses and others.
Assisting with Other Accounting tasks: Assisting with other accounting related tasks such as revenue recognition, monthly reporting and other ad-hock tasks related to new projects and business needs.
We would love it if you have
Strong Accounting knowledge:
Being accounting expert in processing cost related transactions, bank reconciliations and month-end
Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
Proactive Problem-Solving:
Ability to anticipate and resolve financial issues promptly and independently.
Efficient in using financial systems and processes.
High Professional Standards in Accounting:
Organised, attentive to details, accurate, diligent, and responsive in your work.
What we're looking for
Master’s degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance or similar field.
Minimum 3 years of experience as Financial Accountant, Business Administrator, Controller or similar role preferably in production, creative or art related company
Familiarity with ERP systems and Exact in particular
Good eye for improvement, proactive, deadline oriented and able to work independently
High personal working standard (organised, attentive to details, accurate, diligent, responsive)
Good communicator, fluent in English with good knowledge of Dutch
Full time employment (40 hour workweek), primarily in the studio space
