Role Summary

Studio DRIFT is looking for a Social Video Content Creator & Editor (Instagram & TikTok) to join our Amsterdam studio and create compelling short-form video content for our social channels.

This is a hands-on, camera and edit suite role. We are looking for someone who lives and breathes social media, thinks natively in Instagram Reels and TikTok, understands what stops a scroll, and knows how audiences consume content across these platforms. In this role you will conceptualise, film, edit, and publish engaging content, understanding the rhythm, pacing, and storytelling required to create social-first videos that capture attention and build an audience.

You will work with a combination of newly captured footage and Studio DRIFT’s rich archive of films, artworks, installations, exhibitions, and behind-the-scenes material to create and edit content that feels native to social platforms while staying true to DRIFT’s artistic identity.

You should be excited by the challenge of translating complex artistic ideas into engaging visual stories that resonate culturally and emotionally on social media.

This role reports into the Head of Marketing & Communications at DRIFT.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Develop original video, photo and written content that reflects Studio DRIFT’s artistic, philosophical, and cultural vision on primarily  Instagram and Tiktok 

  • Conceptualise, produce, film, edit, and deliver engaging content across digital platforms

  • Create visually compelling video and photography content, while also repurposing archival material in fresh and meaningful ways

  • Write engaging captions, posts, and short-form storytelling that connect with diverse audiences

  • Ensure all content aligns with brand, editorial, and visual guidelines

Content Planning & Publishing

  • Own and maintain the content calendar in alignment with exhibitions, launches, events, and project timelines

  • Develop monthly content plans tailored to different audiences and platforms

  • Plan, schedule, and publish content across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, website, and other relevant channels

  • Ensure consistency in day-to-day content output while remaining agile around timely opportunities

Digital & Social Media Management

  • Manage Studio DRIFT’s social media presence and community across platforms

  • Monitor engagement and support community management

  • Track performance across channels and provide insights and recommendations for optimisation

  • Stay closely attuned to platform developments, content formats, and cultural shifts, translating these into relevant opportunities for DRIFT

Collaboration & Special Projects

  • Works under the guidance of the Head of Marketing & Communications and collaborates closely with artists, the sales team, and the PR & Communications Specialist.

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external creatives to bring stories and campaigns to life

  • Produce content for larger international projects and exhibitions, coordinating freelancers and external partners when needed

  • Help translate complex artistic ideas into accessible and emotionally resonant digital narratives

Skills & Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in content creation and social media management, ideally within art, design, culture, fashion, or a creative environment

  • Strong visual eye and storytelling ability across video, photography, and copywriting

  • Proven experience filming and editing content independently, with a strong portfolio of past work

  • Proficiency with content creation tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar

  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, formats, and trends

  • Deep interest in art, design, technology, and emotion-driven storytelling

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Highly detail-oriented, hands-on, proactive, and able to balance creative quality with deadlines

  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving creative environment

  • Must be eligible to work in the Netherlands
